The Partners have made the decision to return to remote business operations effective Friday November 27, 2020.
With rapidly escalating case numbers in Alberta, Carscallen LLP has decided to work in accordance with the recent recommendations made by the Government of Alberta. To reduce physical contact as much as possible, most of our lawyers and employees will return to working remotely and our office will be closed to in-person meetings except in unique circumstances, which we will accommodate as needed.
The intent is to re-open the office and return to in-person meetings on January 12th, the day after in-person learning in schools is scheduled to resume. However, we will continue to monitor the situation and, if needed, potentially reassess at that time.
We are confident that we will continue to maintain our high standard of client services from our remote environment, as we successfully did earlier this year. While we know this may cause some inconvenience, we believe that these steps are necessary in order to keep our employees and our clients safe, and also to help our community in beating this virus. We need to do our part again in preventing the spread of the virus and flattening the curve, so that we can return to normal as soon as reasonably possible.
Our lawyers and employees have all rallied throughout these difficult times and we know our team will, once again, rise to this challenge. We appreciate your understanding and we look forward to continuing to meet all of your legal services needs.
