Carscallen LLP is pleased to announce that Natalie L. Leclerc and Ryan J. Barata have joined the partnership. Both lawyers are valued team members and have an excellent track record of success in their respective areas.
Originally from Edmonton, Natalie began her time with Carscallen LLP as a first-year associate in 2012 and has been a key player in the commercial litigation group since. As a member of the firm’s construction law group, she has represented both subcontractors and general contractors in contract disputes, labour and material bond claims, and more.
Natalie is also experienced in employment, labour, and human rights law, including advising clients with respect to employment agreements and human rights complaints. Her passion for supporting our community’s most vulnerable has introduced the whole firm into supporting CIBC Run for the Cure.
Ryan commenced his career as an articling student with Carscallen LLP in 2013 and was called to the Alberta Bar and joined the firm as an associate in 2014. His practice focuses on the areas of civil litigation, domestic and matrimonial law, and regulatory and estate litigation. Ryan supports clients in all areas of domestic law, with extensive experience in the review and drafting of domestic agreements, including separation agreements, pre/post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.
Ryan’s strength in assisting individuals and groups in overcoming complex interpersonal situations has led him to successfully represent clients in all three levels of court in Alberta. His entrepreneurial spirit inspires him to pursue reasonable and pragmatic solutions to his clients’ unique circumstances, across formal and informal dispute resolution.
Carscallen LLP looks forward to seeing our two newest partners thrive in their new roles. Natalie and Ryan are both delighted to deepen their involvement with Carscallen LLP while continuing to provide exemplary counsel to their clients.
